Thank-you note writer
Pick who the note is from and what the gift was, and get three short thank-you notes (warm, playful and simple) ready to copy onto a card.
Festidy keeps your guest list and RSVPs in one place, so you know who to thank after the party.
Make my party planHow it works
- Three notes every time: one in each tone, with the tone you pick first. Each fits a standard card, at 25 to 60 words.
- Each note says three things: thank you for the gift by name, a line on how it is being used or enjoyed, and a warm closing line.
- Names are optional. Leave them empty to see a sample (Liam writing to Olivia), then type yours.
- From the child or the parents, you also get one short sentence a child who can write can copy in their own hand.

Tips for thank-you notes
- Aim for within a week. Two to three weeks is still fine. Sooner is easier, because you still remember who gave what.
- Keep a gift list as you open presents. One person reads the card, another writes the giver and the gift.
- Name the gift. "Thank you for the dinosaur puzzle" reads warmer than "thank you for the gift".
- Let kids do one part. A young child can sign their name or draw a picture; an older child can copy a short line.
- Thank guests who came without a gift too, if you're sending notes to everyone. It's a nice touch, not a rule.
Questions
What should a child write in a birthday thank-you note?
One or two sentences is plenty: thank the guest for the gift by name and say one thing they like about it. "Thank you for the dinosaur puzzle. I play with it every day." Then they sign their name.
How do you write a thank-you note for money or a gift card?
Don't name the amount. Thank them for the generous gift and say what it's going toward, like "I am saving it for something special" or "It is going toward the nursery."
What do you write in a baby shower thank-you note?
Thank the guest for the gift by name, say how you will use it with the baby, and add a line about them, like "We are so lucky to have you in our baby's life." Keep it to three or four sentences.
When should you send thank-you notes after a party?
Within a week is great, and two to three weeks is still fine, for a birthday or a shower. Sooner is easier, because you still remember who gave what.
Do you need to send a thank-you note if the guest came without a gift?
No. A note for coming is a kind extra, not a rule. If you write one, thank them for being there and say you hope to see them soon.
