RSVP tracker
Keep every reply in one table. Add each guest, set their answer and how many are coming, and the totals and the headcount to shop for update as you type.
Festidy's free invitations collect RSVPs for you automatically. Guests reply in one tap with no account, and your counts update on their own.
Send invitations that track repliesHow we calculate
- People, not invitations: each row counts its grown-ups plus its kids. A family of four is one row and four people.
- Coming and maybe: the people on rows marked Coming, and the people on rows marked Maybe.
- No reply yet and can't come: counted as guests (rows). For no reply, the note shows how many people that is if they all came.
- Headcount to shop for: everyone coming plus every maybe, the same rule Festidy’s planner uses, so nobody goes without a plate. After your reply-by date the planner plans on the replies plus about 10% for late answers.
- Where it is saved: in this browser only, on this device. Nothing is sent to Festidy or anyone else. Download the CSV if you want a copy elsewhere.

Tips for tracking RSVPs
- Count grown-ups and kids apart. Kids eat less and grown-ups often stay at young kids' parties, so one number hides what you need to buy.
- Write allergies in the notes as soon as you hear them. Then you can check the menu before you order.
- Nudge once. Text families who have not replied one time, warmly, and then move on. Mark them No reply yet until they answer.
- Ask your maybes to decide. A short note a few days before the reply date turns most maybes into a yes or a no.
- Print a copy for the door. The printout is a clean table with room for notes.
Questions
How do I track RSVPs for free?
Use a table like the one above: one row per guest or family, a status and a count. Or send Festidy's free invitation, which collects the replies for you. Guests answer in one tap with no account, and you see the counts update.
What does RSVP mean?
It comes from the French répondez s'il vous plaît, which means "please reply" (Merriam-Webster). It asks guests to answer yes or no, so a no helps you plan too.
How long before a party should you ask for RSVPs?
Festidy's planner asks for replies 10 days before the party. Invitations go out 3 to 4 weeks ahead, and the checklist reminds you to follow up with anyone who has not answered 14 days before.
How many maybes will actually come?
There is no firm number, so this tool counts every maybe until they answer, the same as Festidy’s planner. A day or two before your reply-by date, send the maybes a friendly nudge and swap in real answers.
Can I use it for a baby shower or a graduation?
Yes. Leave the kids at 0 and use the grown-ups count. The headcount works the same for any party.
Is my guest list saved or shared?
It is saved in this browser on this device and goes nowhere else. If you clear your browser data or switch phones, it is gone, so download the CSV or copy the text to keep a backup.
