- 18 songs in four parts: 4 for arrivals, 8 for games and dancing, 3 for cake and 3 for goodbye. They follow Festidy's run of show for a 2-hour party: arrivals at 0:00, games at 0:30, cake at 1:20 and goodbyes at 1:35.
- A core list for each age band that works for any party: preschool songs for little ones, sing-along pop for kids 6 to 9 and current pop for 10 and up.
- Theme songs mix in: up to 2 in arrivals, 4 in games, 1 at cake and 2 at goodbye, so the list still flows. 23 themes have theme songs so far; the rest use the core list and say so.
- Real songs, kid-appropriate: every song is a real recording by the artist shown, with no adult themes. Where a song has a clean version, we tell you to use it.
- Happy Birthday is sung live. The recorded songs at cake are for cutting and serving.
- We only link out. Festidy hosts no music. The icons open a search on Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music.

Tips for party music
- Build the playlist the day before. Paste the copied list into your music app, and download it if your plan allows, so a weak signal doesn't stop the dancing.
- Check for ads. Free plans can play ads between songs. Play the list once before guests arrive.
- Keep it quiet at arrivals, louder for games. Parents chat at drop-off; kids need the beat for freeze dance.
- Look for the E. Spotify and Apple Music mark explicit tracks with an E. Pick the version without it.
- Put it on repeat. 18 songs is about an hour. Kids are happy to hear the dance songs twice.

What songs should I play at a kids' birthday party?
Gentle, happy songs while guests arrive, dance songs with moves for games (Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Can't Stop the Feeling!), Happy Birthday sung live for the cake, and a calm song to wind down at goodbye.
What are good clean party songs for kids?
Happy by Pharrell Williams, Shake It Off by Taylor Swift, Dynamite by BTS, Try Everything by Shakira and Best Day of My Life by American Authors. For Uptown Funk and Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae), use the clean version.
What songs are good for a dinosaur party?
We Are the Dinosaurs by The Laurie Berkner Band, The Dinosaur Stomp by Jack Hartmann and Dinosaur Boogie by Dr. Jean. For little ones, add Stomp Like A Dinosaur and 10 Little Dinosaurs by Super Simple Songs.
How many songs do I need for a 2-hour party?
About 30 to 40 songs if music plays the whole time, at 3 to 4 minutes a song. Our 18-song list covers about an hour; put it on repeat, since music stops for food and cake anyway.
Does Festidy play the music?
No. Festidy only links out and hosts no music. Each song has links that open a search for it on Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube Music, where you add it to your own playlist.
