TV party screen
Put the party on the TV: a welcome with your child's name, the clock, what is on now and next, and a countdown to cake. Fill in the details and press start.
Festidy's plan has the same run of show, plus the checklist and invitations that come before the party.
Make my party planHow it works
- On a smart TV: open festidy.com/tools/tv-party-screen in the TV's web browser, fill in the form and press Start the TV screen.
- From a laptop: open this page, press start, then cast the browser tab to the TV (in Chrome, open the menu and choose Cast) or mirror the screen with AirPlay on a Mac.
- The schedule: the same run of show as the party schedule maker, scaled to the length you pick. The screen moves from one part to the next by itself as the clock passes each start time.
- The clock: it follows the time on the device that shows it, so check that the device's clock is right.
- Now, Next and cake: Now is the part running, Next is the one after it with a countdown, and the third box counts down to cake, then to goodbyes.
- Preview: a fake clock lets you try the screen before the party. Press Preview in the bar at the bottom (move the mouse to show it) and drag the slider to any minute of the party.
- Side panel: every 20 seconds it switches between game ideas for the theme and your age, and a QR code if you pasted a photo link. The QR is drawn in your browser; Festidy does not receive your link or your photos.

Tips for party day
- Try it the day before. Open it on the TV you will use and drag the Preview slider through the party. Check that the text reads from the couch.
- Stop the TV from going to sleep. Turn off the sleep timer or screensaver in the TV's settings, and plug in a laptop if you cast from one.
- Test the QR code. Scan it with your own phone from where guests will stand. Use a shared album link that anyone with the link can add to.
- Start it 15 minutes early. Before the start time the screen says when guests arrive and counts down to it.
- Hide the cursor. Leave the mouse alone for 3 seconds and the buttons disappear. Move it to bring them back.
Questions
How do I put a party countdown on my TV?
Fill in the form above and press Start the TV screen on the TV's browser, or on a laptop cast to the TV. The screen counts down to the next part of the party and to cake.
How do I make a birthday welcome screen for the TV?
Type your child's name, age and theme. The screen shows "Happy birthday" with the name, "Turning" and the age over a theme photo, so it works as a welcome while guests arrive.
Can I show a photo slideshow on the TV?
Not a slideshow, but guests can add photos. Paste a shared album link and the screen shows a QR code every 20 seconds, so guests can scan it and add pictures from their phones.
Does the screen need the internet?
It needs the internet to load the page and the theme photo. After that it keeps time from the device's clock on its own, so a short wifi drop does not stop it.
What does the screen show before the party starts?
Before the start time it says "Getting ready", shows when the first part begins and counts down to it. Use Preview to see any minute of the party in advance.
How long can the party run?
You can pick 90 minutes, 2 hours, 2.5 hours or 3 hours. A kids' birthday defaults to 2 hours, a baby shower to 2.5, and a graduation, adult birthday or house party to 3.
